#VCWSVirtual: Inspiring the Next Generation | Health Science and Biotechnology at Atkins High School 

Learn from staff and students of Atkins High School in Winston-Salem, NC as they share how connections are made through opportunities and experiences in the local bioscience community. The Biotechnology major at Atkins prepares students for the emerging biotechnology industry. Students receive training using the latest research, equipment, and procedures with a curriculum includes good manufacturing practices, biochemistry, immunology and pharmacology, regenerative medicine, nanotechnology, and forensic analysis. 

Presenters: Mr. Terry Howerton (Biotechnology Instructor); Dr. Ellen Palmer (Biomedical Technology Instructor), Ms. Lonnie Clark (Health Science Instructor), Brianna Thompson and Aleya Monsalve (AHS Class of 2020).
