Nov 30 | Pitch Please

Life is a Pitch!  Venture Cafe will host its first ever pitch competition at our Thursday Gathering on November 30 at Wake Forest Biotech Place. Join us for a powerful night of ideas, innovation, and infinite possibilities!

“Pitch, Please!” will feature five of our city’s hottest up-and-coming startups and ideas. Hear pitches from these local companies looking to refine their pitches.

Expert judges from throughout the local entrepreneurial ecosystem will provide valuable feedback and pick winners from among investor-ready and idea-stage ventures.

A panel of 5 external judges (all business and startup professionals) will select the finalists, provide helpful feedback on the final pitches (to include a Q&A phase), and vote on the winner(s). Our Pitch, Please! Judges:

  • Jen Brown Oleniczak – Founder, The Engaging Educator

  • Dan Driscoll – Managing Director, 100W

  • Trinity Manning – CEO, OnceLogix, LLC

  • Noah Reynolds – Coleman Foundation Entrepreneur-in-Residence, UNCG

  • Randall Tuttle – Partner, Trade Street Capital Partners

Winners will be announced directly following the competition. After all 5 pitches have been presented, a short intermission will allow time for calculation of scores. Winners will be announced after the intermission. Awards will be given at that time.

Prizes will be provided by local companies and ecosystem partners including Winston Starts100Watt and Flywheel Coworking.

Audience Interaction | In true Venture Cafe style, we’ll also get the community in on the action. The audience will have a chance to share their own feedback for pitch participants with an interactive display in our gathering area.
